SUFFERING FROM FOOD SENSITIVITIES?
Have you been dealing with unexplainable symptoms and/or health issues?
Have you tried medications with no relief?
Have you been told it’s all in your head?
I’ve been there. I know how frustrating it feels. For years I battled chronic, unexplainable symptoms. I used to waste hours online trying to figure out what was going on with my body. I went to countless doctors only to be told my symptoms were all in my head. I felt like my chronic health issues were stacking up and taking over every aspect of my life. I became depressed and anxious and thought I would never get better. I felt like an empty shell of myself.
Then I found MRT.
I’m a registered dietitian but I honestly had never heard of MRT testing until 2018 when I was trying to get to the bottom of my health issues. I stumbled upon MRT testing, I looked into the research and science behind it, spoke to a LEAP certified dietitian over the phone, and signed up to get certified that same day.
MRT testing and the LEAP protocol changed my life. It fixed my chronic pain, insomnia, IBS, sinus issues, and more. I was amazed at how quickly things turned around.
Now I have the privilege of sharing this testing and protocol with others. It gets me SO excited! Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a patients symptoms disappear after years of suffering.
- Crohn’s Disease
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Chronic pain
- Acid reflux
- Chronic sinusitis
- Chronic fatigue
Mediators are proinflammatory chemicals that release inflammation in the body, and inflammation causes symptoms.
The MRT test measures ALL mediators that could be released due to an over-active immune response to a food or food chemical. MRT testing not only allows us to see which foods are creating inflammation, it also shows how much mediator is released. This means we can determine what is causing alot of inflammation, a moderate amount of inflammation, or no inflammation at all.
Other food sensitivity tests merely measure antibodies. The problem is that antibodies don’t necessarily results in inflammation or symptoms.
IgG testing, for example, only measures the release of IgG antibodies. IgG antibodies can act as a memory for your immune system – they can be protective and normal!
When your immune system reacts to something you eat, symptoms could be delayed for up to 72 – 96 hours. This makes problematic foods hard to pinpoint (I don’t know about you but I couldn’t tell you what I ate 72 hours ago!).
Without food sensitivity testing, it’s a never-ending guessing game. I’ve even tried extremely strict eliminations (autoimmune paleo for example) but they still weren’t enough to pinpoint my sensitivities. Our bodies can react to “healthy” foods like salmon, almonds, blueberries – things we would never guess to cut out!
The patented Mediator Release Test (MRT) is a blood test that measures your immune reaction to 140 foods and 30 chemicals. The results allow me to identify a safe list of foods for you to eat that will not trigger inflammation, so your symptoms can improve.
A blinded peer reviewed scientific study showed MRT to have the highest level of accuracy of any food sensitivity blood test: 94.5% sensitivity and 91.8% specificity.
No testing is perfect, but MRT is as close as they come!
Below is an example of the MRT test results:
You will receive a 65+ page report along with your MRT results that contains tips on how to get started, how to follow the LEAP program, and forms for tracking your symptoms. We will also discuss all of this in detail during your first consultation!
LEAP is an effective protocol that combines the Mediator Release Test (MRT) with the skills of a Certified LEAP Therapist to produce a patient-specific anti-inflammatory diet. The diet is designed to lower inflammation, and by doing so, reduce or eliminate your symptoms.
I will receive your MRT results in both graph and number form. I am trained to interpret the MRT results to create a three-phase plan specifically made for you based on the LEAP protocol.
It’s much more expensive if you purchase the testing yourself – certified health practitioners get a considerable discount. More importantly, a LEAP certified dietitian will be the key to your success. A certified dietitian understands how to interpret your results, create a customized plan specifically for you, and ensure that you are following the LEAP protocol effectively. I don’t want you to waste your money, your energy, or your precious time!
Most patients experience significant improvement within the first 10 days on the program. Symptoms then continue improving during the next 4-6 weeks. Many patients experience complete symptom resolution.
Your particular response may vary depending on:
- How closely you follow your LEAP protocol.
- How long-standing your condition has been and what other factors need to be addressed. Some people may have imbalanced gut bacteria, vitamin or mineral deficiencies, celiac disease, etc. In most cases, a Certified LEAP Therapist who has extensive training in nutrition will be able to address the other underlying conditions.
- The degree to which food sensitivity plays a role in your condition. Other factors such as vitamin D status, B12 deficiency, iron-deficiency anemia, and certain types of bacteria can contribute to symptoms.
- How long you’ve had your symptoms and health condition(s). Damage due to harsh medications, chronic inflammation, or prolonged inadequate nutrition may take longer to reverse in some cases.
