My journey into nutrition and functional medicine wasn’t just a career choice—it was a personal transformation. Like many of my clients, I faced frustrating health challenges that conventional medicine couldn’t seem to answer.
I dragged through the day despite drinking four cups of coffee. I felt bloated no matter what I ate. My periods were all over the place, and I feared I wouldn't be able to have kids one day. My list of symptoms was endlessly growing.
Worst of all, I had become an irritated, moody, very sad version of myself.
When I turned to doctors for help, they told me it was all in my head and sent me home with prescriptions for birth control, spironolactone, anti-anxiety meds, and antidepressants. It felt all wrong. I knew those medications were just an attempt to cover up symptoms, not actually heal me. I felt like a stranger in my own body, and conventional medicine left me with no hope.
That all changed when I discovered functional medicine. I learned that my symptoms were rooted in hormonal imbalances and began the process of healing myself from the inside out. I stopped punishing myself at the gym and started viewing food as a tool for healing rather than something to fear or battle. I learned how to rest in a busy world. Most importantly, I learn how to be kinder to myself.
It wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight, but I finally started to feel like myself again. That transformation became my mission: to help others reclaim their health, trust their bodies, and feel empowered in their choices.
Today, with 7+ years of experience and 700+ success stories as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, I use evidence-based strategies to uncover root causes and create solutions that fit your life. No quick fixes or one-size-fits-all approaches—just personalized care designed to help you thrive.
My journey with health and nutrition began when I was 16, cooking alongside my mom and experimenting with healthy recipes. What started as a genuine love for food eventually spiraled into an unhealthy obsession with calorie counting and being thin. I became undernourished and found myself battling chronic hormone imbalances and gut issues.
In college, everything came to a head. After a hospital stay and a possible Crohn’s disease diagnosis, I was told I’d need to rely on medication for life. When I asked about how diet could play a role in my gut health, my questions were dismissed. That moment changed everything for me. It opened my eyes to the limitations of conventional medicine and the confusion surrounding so many so-called “healthy” diets.
Determined to find true healing, I turned to alternative medicine. Through changes in my diet, acupuncture, and intentional lifestyle shifts, I restored my gut health. I’m proud to say I’m now medication-free and have built a balanced, healthy relationship with food. That transformation not only healed my body but ignited my passion for helping others find the same sense of empowerment and wellness.
Today, I use science-backed nutrition and lifestyle strategies to help clients honor their physical needs while fostering a positive relationship with food. I believe true wellness happens when science meets the soul of food, creating a lifestyle that’s as enjoyable as it is effective.
